ㅤthemesㅤ i enjoy engaging with a lot of different themes and stories in my writing, from slice of life all the way to horror and everything in between. i tend to favour character-driven scenes with dark and mature themes but if that isn't your cup of tea, don't be afraid to request something else!due to the themes i explore in roleplay, and for my own comfort, i will only engage in long-term stories with people who are over the age of eighteen. i accept events and broad-space roleplay will contain minors where i may interact on a casual level but i draw the line for anything beyond this.

Born into the Krahve family, a reclusive and dangerous band of Keepers in the deeper shroud, all Vesshia's upbringing taught her was stealing, hunting and survival. Her mother, the matron's fang — the right hand, desparate to escape the cycle and find a better life for her daughter fled the Shroud to Vylbrand's shores when Vesshia was still young. It was there they lived precariously, scraping by in the underbelly of the city and attempting to get their heads above water.

Unfortunately, old habits die hard and by this point, Vesshia was full of them. The young miqo'te pickpocketed and ran with questionable crowds, believing them to be her allies and eventually trusting one with a secret she'd been warned against ever sharing: her family name. This would serve as Vesshia's downfall and give her the first taste of betrayal as those "allies" soon turned on her, framing her for a crime she didn't commit and forcing Vesshia to flee once more, this time alone.

Vesshia would find her escape upon what appeared to be a merchant vessel, where she carved out a life among fellow undesirables, learning the ways of the seas and watching the horizon. She remained for years upon The Wolfsbane, until a vision gripped her during a stormy night at sea. Now haunted her with a piercing memory that was not her own, Vesshia was unmoored by the revelation she'd awoken with the echo. So, it was only then that she disembarked from the Wolfsbane to find a life beyond it. No longer choosing only survival, Vesshia began walking a new path: one forged by choice, not fear.

How do you come to terms that your upbringing you thought was filled with love was instead filled with manipulation, trickery and mind control to keep you trapped as their ever-willing puppet? And how do you prevent it from ever happening again?

Those are the questions Nerissa seeks to find the answers to — a truth she is not afraid of admitting, even if she isn't so necessarily upfront about the truth that led her into that situation to begin with.

The truth to the story is that her parents, tired of their child and the ever-numerous creatures and critters that seemed drawn to her, were given an opportunity to free themselves of the issue when a powerful mage came knocking at their door wishing to give an apprenticeship to the young raen. A blessing, right? Surely, with such tutelage, Nerissa would hopefully be able to bring everything under to control to reduce the amount of creatures flocking to her, making for an easier life for all and allowing her to return to the family home, where surely once she would return, they'd be a happy, loving family once again, right?Unfortunately, Nerissa would find this does not seem to be the case. There is no controlling that which is attracted to her and her family is far happier than they';ve ever been now free of her, and when she finally finds freedom from the mentor who turned out to be anything but? Well, she's left learning how to fix the consequences her youth has left her with and a clock that's running out of time.
